This Dandy Gadget: As expected, the Palm introduced a new operating system webOS, also known as code-named Nova. No less pleasant surprise was the announcement a new communicator: Palm Pre, running the new OS.
The webOS supports recognizing multiple touches (multi-touch). As the name implies, it focuses on work with the Internet, for which the developer has implemented support for such advanced technologies, such as CMS, HTML, XML and JavaScript. The composition of webOS also includes Palm Synergy, which allows users to feel comfortable to work with different kinds of information. It should be noted that webOS is a multitasking operating system.
Furthermore, Palm Pre communicator made in the form slider and is equipped with a QWERTY-keyboard, 3.0 megapixel with flash camera, 135gr weight, and 8GB internal memory. The device has a rather attractive appearance and a very decent set of technical specifications. Separately, is to allocate 3.1-inch touch-sensitive display with 320 x 480 pixels resolution, which supports multi-touch.
Palm Pre communicator will be appear in the first half of this year. Initially it will be available in the U.S. cellular operator Sprint, and later the UMTS-version of the device will be available in other regions.
