This Dandy Gadget: At CES 2009, Mio Technology has demonstrated a mobile Internet device (MID) which is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system.
For the MID-class devices, Windows Mobile OS is not peculiar, but, apparently, the company Mio Technology has decided to experiment a little. Incidentally, some sources claim that the manufacturer has yet to decide definitively whether it will get MID-device market, and its demonstration at the exhibition was held only to study the reaction of the public.
The prototype shown quite good. The display has a 7 inch diagonal and 800×480 pixels resolution. The required speed provides ARM-processor with a clock speed of 667 MHz. And also it features GPS modules and Wi-Fi, USB connector and the battery that provides up to 8 hours of autonomous operation. in addition, it is only 600g weight.
There is no information about final specification of Mio MID yet. But it will be available in the second quarter of this year.[Dandy Gadget Source]
