This Dandy Gadget: Speaking about Rugged devices, This new rugged Tablet PC from AIS is designed using an aluminum-magnesium alloy construction with individually sealed ports for complete IP54 compliance waterproof and dustproof protection and engineered to Military 810F shock, vibration, and drop standards to withstand the most extreme applications used.
The AIS Rugged Tablet PC is available in 6 models–RT08IA8M-U1, RT08IA8-U1, RT10IA8M-T2, RT12IA8M-T1, RT12IA8M-M3, and HBRT12IA8M-M3. The RT08IA8M-U1 is powered by Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz with Intel 945 GSE Chipset + ICH7, and 2GB DDR2. Featuring also a 8.4-inch screen display with 800×600 pixel resolution in 260 brightness and compacted in 259x215x45mm dimension.
The RT10IA8M-U1 has same specs like RT08IA8M-U1 but more wide in screen, 10.4-inch monitor and compacted in 311 x 232 x 45mm dimension. While RT10IA8M-T2 is same as RT10IA8M-U1, but better in resolution, features with 10.4-inch screen display with 1024×768 pixel resolution in 170 brightness.
The RT12IA8M-T1, RT12IA8M-M3, and HBRT12IA8M-M3 feature an 12.1-inch screen display, powered by Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz with Intel 945 GSE Chipset+ICH7, 2GB DDR2 and compacted in 311x232x45 mm dimension. The differences between them are the resolution and brightness of display. RT12IA8M-T1 equips with 1024×768 pixel resolution in 200 brightness, RT12IA8M-M3 has 800×600 pixel resolution in 450 brightness, and HBRT12IA8M-M3 contains 1024×768 pixel resolution in 450 brightness.
