We talked about DEV-5 digital binocular year ago. And now Sony unveiled a new successor, DEV-50V, which is made in smaller and lighter design. According to company, it’s having 30% smaller- 148.5 x 72.5 x 157.5 mm dimension and lighter – 765 g mass. Thus, it makes easier to be carried to anywhere in the jungle to capture any amazing objects. More, it also comes with enhanced weather resistant capability.
In term of performance, this new digital binocular is housing dual Sony G lenses, dual 1/3.91-inch Exmor R CMOS sensors, and BIONZ images processor. Coupled with 0.8-25x 2D magnification range, 0.5-6x 3D magnification range, XGA OLED Tru-Finder with Optical SteadyShot Active Mode, it ensures you able to capture any objects clearly without any blurs either from far of up close even in dim lighting up to 2D/3D full HD video and 20.4MP still image.
In addition, Sony DEV-50V also features HDMI output, a built-in GPS, micro USB port, memory card slot, and a rechargeable battery that could support up to 2 hours and 30 minutes 3D recording.
The release date and pricing
Just like its predecessor, Sony DEV-50V digital recording binocular is also going to hit market in MSRP USD 2,000 in June 2013.
