So many people were waiting for the next generation of iPad 2 to be announced. A lot of rumors flew around before this day. Many sites tried their best to picture the powerful of this upcoming iPad or they were just trying to catch the good keywords (not sure). In a fact, they all wished high to it, including me. That’s it. Finally, Apple announces their new iPad, called “New iPad”.
You know what? The reality is far from what was rumored and wished. One truth in the rumors is this New iPad employs a Dual-core Apple A5X processor, a faster processor compared to iPad 2. Although, this tablet could capture Full HD 1080p video recording at 30fps, but it only has a 5MP iSight rear camera, not a 8MP like was rumored. Are you disappointed? Or did we expect too high?
What’s about Retina display? Hmmmn, Apple said it’s revolutionary in tablet world. The Retina display technology boasts four times more pixel than iPad 2, 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution at 264 ppi. It means New iPad provides you clearer, brighter, sharper image and text on its 9.7-inch LED backlit touch screen. Is it really a revolutionary by just bringing the Smartphone’s display technology into a tablet?
Despite of all of that, this new tablet PC is couple of times more powerful than iPad 2 and supports 4G LTE network. Probably, the reason of Apple does not apply all of the wished rumors to reality is because they want to balance between price and performance.
Fashioned in 241.2(W) x 185.7(H) x 9.4(D) mm, Apple New iPad is going to hit selected market in March 16, 2012 for starting price MSRP $499 in two model: WiFi and WiFi+4G with three storage option: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. For Americans, you can preorder this new tablet through the Apple Online store, AT&T store, and Verizon Wireless store now. Black or white? Did I mention Bluetooth 4.0 ?
