Adding GPS and Electronic Compass! Olympus Traveller SH-25MR Compact Camera

In short, this new Olympus Traveller camera, SH-25MR, is not slightly different compared to its predecessor, SH-21. Yes, that’s only pre-assuming when I looked that this camera still keeps the same lens and CMOS sensor.

So, what’s the new? The main parts are still the same, but this camera is made to serve you better in your travel moment. The injection of iHS system with TruePic V image processor, replacing the TruePic III+, pushes the 16MP 1/2.3 CMOS sensor and 12.5x wide zoom lens to capture your moments faster with better quality for both still image and video recording, ensuring you won’t miss your important moments clearly.

It’s not over yet. The SH-25MR comes with better design and more stylish. The company gives you a wider soft cushion area on its metal case at front for better gripping, relaxing your fingers to hold longer. Meanwhile, the adding of GPS and electronic compass features, somehow, could helps you to know the detail about your location.

Regarding to the remain specs, this new camera features a 3.0-inch 460,000 dot touch panel LCD, Dual Image Stabilisation, a 43MB built-in storage, LI-50B Lithium-ion battery, HDMI, USB port, Multi-motion Movie IS, 1080p full HD movie, Advanced iAuto, AF tracking, Live Guide and so on. If you need to expand the storage, you could put the SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card into the slot.

Fashioned in 109.2(W) x 61.8(H) x 30.6(D)mm and 208g, Olympus Traveller SH-25MR compact camera is expected to hit Europe in April 2012 for €269. Unfortunately, like the SH-21, this camera doesn’t seem to have a will to enter US.  Which one is your color: black, white, gold or red?
