DJI Agras T55 vs T100: Which Farming Drone Fits Your Needs?

DJI Agras T55 vs T100: Which Farming Drone Fits Your Needs?

DJI Agriculture has expanded its precision farming portfolio with the launch of the new Agras T55 and Agras T100 Dual Battery Spraying System. Designed for different agricultural scenarios, the latest drone lineup focuses on improving efficiency, safety, and productivity across orchards, small farms, and large-scale field operations. As agricultural technology continues to evolve, DJI Agriculture aims to make advanced aerial solutions more accessible to farmers worldwide.

The two new models target distinct operational requirements. While the Agras T55 emphasizes versatility and ease of use for diverse farming tasks, the Agras T100 is engineered for maximum productivity in large agricultural environments. Together, they showcase how drone technology is becoming an essential tool for modern farming.

Agras T55 Focuses on Flexible Farm Operations

The Agras T55 is built as a lightweight and intuitive platform capable of handling spraying, spreading, and lifting applications. It supports a 50-liter spraying payload and can spread materials at rates of up to 400 kg per minute, making it suitable for a variety of crop management tasks.

One of the standout additions is the new lifting system, which supports payloads up to 40 kg. Features such as Auto Balance Control and Emergency Cable Release improve operational safety while allowing farmers to perform additional logistics-related tasks beyond traditional crop treatment.

Enhanced Safety Through Advanced Sensing Systems

Safety remains a major focus for the Agras T55. The drone introduces an upgraded millimeter-wave radar system capable of generating highly detailed environmental data. With a point cloud density reaching 250,000 points per second, obstacle detection becomes significantly more precise even in challenging weather conditions.

The drone also incorporates a new quad-vision camera system. Three upper cameras work alongside a low-light FPV camera to provide visibility in multiple directions, helping operators maintain better situational awareness during flight. The system can also log detected obstacles, allowing future flights to avoid previously identified hazards automatically.

Agras T100 Targets Large-Scale Productivity

The Agras T100 Dual Battery Spraying System is designed for larger agricultural operations where efficiency is critical. Its dual intelligent battery configuration increases hover time by approximately 50 percent compared to equivalent payload operations, helping maximize working time in the field.

A large 90-liter spray tank supports extended missions with fewer interruptions. Combined with dual-atomized centrifugal sprinklers, the drone can cover larger areas more efficiently while maintaining consistent spray distribution. This configuration is especially beneficial for broad-acre farming applications where productivity directly impacts operational costs.

Improved Orchard Performance and Multi-Role Capability

Beyond field spraying, the Agras T100 also improves performance in orchard environments. Optional mist sprinklers enhance droplet penetration, allowing treatments to reach dense canopies and the undersides of leaves. This helps improve coverage in challenging crop environments where conventional spraying methods may struggle.

The platform is equally versatile when configured for spreading and lifting operations. It supports up to 150 liters of spreading capacity in its standard configuration and can lift payloads of up to 80 kg. These capabilities transform the drone into a multifunctional agricultural tool rather than a dedicated spraying platform.

With the introduction of the Agras T55 and Agras T100, DJI Agriculture continues to strengthen its position in the precision agriculture sector. The new drones combine advanced sensing technology, improved operational efficiency, and broader application support for farmers around the world. Both models will be available globally, with pricing and regional availability varying depending on local markets and authorized dealers.
