Selected as the Visionary Awards Finalist of ‘Storage Visions 2011’, the Hitachi-LG Data Storage (HLDS) Hibryd Drive is going to be introduced at CES 2011 which are carrying a new technology that integrating ODD(Optical Disc Drive) and SSD circuit at one integrated PCB.
HLDS said the Hybrid Drive can be attached to a smaller PC foot print such as tablet or netbook with 7-9″ size by removing the HDD or SDD from the motherboard and just having Hybrid Drive with its SSD as primary storage.
