Powered by a lithium-ion battery and electric motor, Nissan announced its new electric vehicle, Nissan LEAF, 100% Electric Zero-emission car which is designed with wide space and nice looking interior that can accommodate five adults will be available in Japan market in December 20 2010. It will be followed in US also in December, and in select European market in around 2011. For others global market, the car is expected to hit in 2012.
This new car in full charge can run for 200km in powerful acceleration and smooth, quiet performance up to 145km/h. In addition, the car features four doors, ABS, EBD, high-strength safety body, airbags, and the last but not least three-point ELR seat belts for all seats.
Nissan LEAF EV car will be available in two grade X and G with both use 2WD drive system and EM61 motor. The X grade is expected to hit Japan market in 3,764,250 yen whilst the G grade is in 4,060,350 yen. [Dandy Gadget Source]
