Simply by just docking your Apple iPhone or iPod into the slot, the Sony RDP-15iP speaker dock will play your favorite musics in pure clean stereo sound through its 2x50mm bass reflex loudspeakers with 10W+10W output power and charge its battery as well (when handdock is not operated on battery).
