The Time Has Come, Microsoft Surface Tablet PCs!

Slowly but sure, the time has come for Microsoft to show its own face to tablet consumers. The final release of Windows RT and Windows 8 Pro that slightly improved in multitouch interaction, and has good responses from consumers gives the company a lot confident to compete with Android or iOS devices.

Interestingly, Microsoft decided to take a quick move by unveiling its own brand tablet PCs, the Surface. I’m not so sure it’s a clever move or not, but the Surface its self is worthy to be looked. Coming in two models: the Windows RT model supported by ARM processor, and the Windows 8 Pro model with the latest Intel Core processor inside, these new tablets use a unique technology, VaporMg, for its case to present a light, thin, and strong tablet. Of course, you will also witness the powerful of Windows RT and Windows 8 Pro in rolling your applications.

At glance, the Surface design reminds me to the successful Asus Eee Pad Transformer with an improvement of a built-in kickstand. The built-in kickstand, touch cover keyboard, and VaporMg technology surely will create a premium way to its users in utilizing a tablet.

So, which model is better? Judging from specs: pen with palm block, microSDXC, USB 3.0, a 10.6-inch ClearType Full HD display and a larger storage size option, it clears us that the Windows 8 Pro model is promising faster performance compared to the Windows RT model. And it seems that the Windows 8 Pro model is focused more to business field.

The release date and pricing
Both models offer two storage size option: 32GB and 64GB (Windows RT model), 64GB and 128GB (Windows 8 Pro Model). Neither the release date nor the pricing is yet clearly announced by Microsoft. However, the company said the Surface tablet will face market this year.
