Plaud One Adds 4G to Wearable AI Earbuds

Plaud has introduced the Plaud One Explorer Edition, a pair of wearable AI earbuds designed to turn conversations into usable context for AI agents. Instead of functioning only as audio hardware, the device records spoken information, identifies intent, and helps initiate tasks through the Plaud Intelligence platform.

AI earbuds that work beyond audio playback

Plaud One can capture phone calls, online meetings, face-to-face conversations, and spontaneous voice notes. Users can wear the earbuds normally or use the standalone charging case for recording, giving professionals more flexibility when headphones would be inconvenient or distracting.

The more important difference is what happens after capture. Conversations can be transcribed, summarized, and connected to previous interactions. This gives Plaud Agent a persistent context layer for preparing follow-ups, creating reports, and linking decisions that may have been spread across several meetings.

For salespeople, consultants, executives, and chiefs of staff, that workflow could reduce the gap between discussing an action and actually completing it. However, its usefulness will depend heavily on transcription quality, supported integrations, and whether users are comfortable recording conversations in their workplace.

Built-in 4G keeps conversations connected

A built-in eSIM with 4G LTE lets Plaud One upload recordings without depending on a paired smartphone. This can be useful during client visits, conferences, or fieldwork where a phone may be packed away, out of range, or occupied with another task.

Independent connectivity also supports faster processing because conversations can be uploaded for transcription and summarization as work happens. Plaud has not provided detailed battery, audio, storage, or cellular plan specifications, so prospective buyers cannot yet fully judge how standalone operation will perform during long working days.

Plaud Agent connects conversation with action

The earbuds run on the redesigned Plaud Intelligence platform. At its center, Plaud Agent interprets conversational context and can work with services including Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack. A meeting could therefore lead to a drafted email, scheduled follow-up, or structured document without manually copying notes between applications.

The platform organizes repeatable workflows as Skills, while Plugins provide collections intended for particular professional roles. It can also create editable Artifacts such as emails, documents, and presentations. These terms describe an ambitious workflow system, although the Explorer Edition label suggests early adopters may be helping Plaud refine how those capabilities operate outside controlled demonstrations.

Who should consider the Explorer Edition?

Plaud One is aimed primarily at people whose work is driven by conversation rather than conventional earbud buyers seeking music or entertainment features. A consultant could convert a workshop into a findings report, while a sales manager could generate a follow-up immediately after meeting a client.

Privacy remains an important practical consideration. Recording laws, organizational policies, client consent, and the sensitivity of uploaded conversations will determine where the device can be used responsibly. Plaud lists several security and privacy certifications, but users should still review their own compliance requirements before introducing an always-ready recording device into professional meetings.

The Plaud One Explorer Edition costs US$249.99 and is available for pre-order in selected markets, with shipments expected in Q4 2026. Each unit includes US$200 in Plaud Credits, while Plaud App 4.0 is scheduled to begin rolling out across the company’s products during the same quarter. Existing Plaud plans remain compatible, according to Plaud.
