Infinix GT NX Turns Phones Into Gaming Consoles

Infinix is expanding its mobile gaming ecosystem with two complementary accessories: the GT NX Controller and GT NX Station. Rather than duplicating the same job, the pair tackles different bottlenecks. The controller replaces imprecise touch input with physical controls and a large glass touchpad, while the station combines cooling, display output, networking, and port expansion. Together they are designed to turn a compatible smartphone into a more console-like handheld or desktop gaming system.

GT NX Controller targets touch-heavy competitive games

The GT NX Controller’s standout feature is what Infinix calls a pixel-level FPS precision touchpad. It supports swipe and mouse-style operation, combining familiar touchscreen movement with dedicated buttons. Four-zone independent mapping lets MOBA players assign skills, while mapping mode can extend support to games without native controller integration. It can be used with a clamped phone, on a desktop, or as a compact single-hand controller.

Responsiveness is handled by a three-chip architecture, with two chips in the left grip and another in the right. Infinix calls it a millisecond-level direct connection, although no measured latency figure is provided. Battery life is rated at more than 22 hours. Laser-textured grips may help during longer sessions, but comfort will depend on the attached phone’s size and weight.

Haptics provide information as well as impact

The controller offers three haptic levels through XArena. Native mode reproduces vibration from a supported game, while mapping mode adds cues for FPS events: a one-second vibration during takeoff or parachuting and a 500-millisecond pulse when the final circle shrinks. These alerts may make match states easier to notice, though their value depends on game support and player preference.

GT NX Station builds a phone-based desktop setup

The GT NX Station addresses heat and connectivity instead of controls. Its foldable TEC active cooling system is intended to limit the temperature rise that can cause throttling during sustained gaming. The nine-in-one dock combines HDMI, RJ45 Ethernet, two USB-A connections, USB-C connectivity, USB-C PD input, microSD, and 3.5mm audio. Wired Ethernet can improve consistency when Wi-Fi is unstable, while power and peripherals remain connected through one hub.

Mirror mode duplicates the phone display on an HDMI monitor or TV. Extend mode places game content on the external screen while leaving the phone available for messages, strategy guides, or use with its display turned off. This also gives mobile content creators a larger workspace. Dynamic RGB lighting is included, although it is aesthetic rather than a performance feature.

Who should consider the GT NX accessories?

The controller is the portable option for FPS and MOBA players who want tactile input without abandoning mobile accounts and saves. The station suits a desk-based setup, especially when heat, unstable Wi-Fi, or limited ports are recurring problems. Buying both creates the complete arrangement, but each accessory can address its respective limitation independently.

Compatibility is the main caveat. Universal Extend and Mirror are limited to selected Infinix phones running XOS 16.3 or later and USB-C Android or iOS devices with native DisplayPort output; some other Android devices require a driver installed through the dock, and external displays need HDMI input. The release does not provide pricing or regional availability, so purchase value cannot yet be assessed. Those details will determine how broadly the new accessories fit into the wider mobile-gaming market when Infinix begins selling them.
