LG Electronics is expanding its xboom by will.i.am lineup for CES 2026 with four new portable speakers: Stage 501, Blast, Mini, and Rock. The pitch is simple: pick your vibe (party, outdoors, everyday, ultra-rugged) and let AI-driven personalization handle the tweaks you would normally mess up with bad EQ choices.
AI personalization: less menu-diving, more listening
The new xboom range leans on a stack of software features that try to adapt sound and behavior to where you are and what you are playing. The headline is FYI.RAiDiO integration, which adds conversational access to “AI personas” and DJ-style curation through a dedicated MY Button or companion app. In practical terms, it is trying to reduce friction: press a button, get a curated direction, and move on with your day.
Across the lineup, AI Sound can analyze content and adjust EQ emphasis, while AI Lighting syncs multicolor bar lighting to audio. On the bigger models, Space Calibration Pro is meant to keep sound consistent when you move between indoor and outdoor spaces, so you are not constantly compensating for rooms, walls, or the total lack of them.
Stage 501 vs Blast: the big builds for loud situations
Stage 501 is the party-first option, built around big output and karaoke features. Its key differentiator is AI Karaoke Master, trained on a large song library to reduce or adjust vocals and even shift pitch, so you can sing solo or keep the original vocals low without hunting for special versions of tracks.
Hardware-wise, Stage 501 is rated up to 220W when plugged in (and 160W on battery), with up to 25 hours of playback using a 99Wh swappable battery. The cabinet uses a five-sided, stage-inspired design that supports multiple placements (vertical, horizontal, tilted, or tripod-mounted), plus a driver setup that includes dual woofers and dedicated tweeters for a more energetic, room-filling tuning.
Blast is the outdoors-heavy sibling: still loud, but optimized for long sessions and rough handling. It claims up to 35 hours of playback from a 99Wh battery, paired with 220W output and three passive radiators to push bigger perceived low-end in open spaces.
