A new Hydrogen hybrid ferry is in under construction, new Hornblower Hybrid. It takes a multi-million dollar budget under Statue Cruises flag. The new Hornblower will be powered by Hydrogen, wind, and solar energy. There is no pure hybrid vessel on this day, the story also occurs on this new Hornblower Hybrid, it still uses Tier 2 diesel engine to gain an additional energy needs.
The new Hornblower hybrid is expected to has 1,400 horsepower, 600-passengers which is using Eco-friendly materials on all its parts.
