Samsung GALAXY Tab 8.9 Thinnest Tablet PC

The thinnest in the world? It’s not just a big talk. Compared to the icon of thin gadget, Apple with its iPad 2, the new Samsung GALAXY Tab 8.9 is 0.2 mm thinner, only 8.6 mm depth.

Showed at CTIA 2011, the Samsung Tab 8.9 features a 1 GHz Dual Core processor, a 3.0MP LED Flash AF rear camera, a 2.0MP front camera, a 8.9-inch WXGA 1280×800 resolution LCD, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 (a/b/g/n), USB 2.0, and powered by Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS.

As to be mentioned, Samsung Tab 8.9 is not only thinnest but also lightest with only 470g mass. And compacted in 230.9×157.8×8.6mm with three available memory size:16G, 32GB, and 64GB which you can expand through microSD memory for additional up to 32GB.

  1. I love that Samsung decided to change the design of the Galaxy Tab right after the iPad 2 was released! That was such a cool move on their part. Now Apple can’t say they have the thinnest tablet! I know that as soon as the 8.9″ tablet comes out, I am going to be getting one. I know the first app that I am going to download will be the DISH Remote Access app. It lets me stream live TV and recorded shows on my tablet. What is even better is the fact that I can stream anywhere I want as long as I have 3G or wifi! As a DISH Network customer and employee, I have been using the DISH Remote Access app for a long time and I think it will make TV that much more amazing. TV is just not at it’s best until you can watch where you want!
