This new camera, Alpha SLT-A99, was introduced recently by Sony. Based on the news, it will be ready for you in October 2012. However, when I looked to Sony online store, it said the camera will be shipped in early November 2012, November 02, 2012.
A week or even two weeks late, this camera is still worthy enough to be waited. Why? Because, the Sony A99 is coming with Translucent Mirror technology, a 24.3MP 35mm Full-Frame ‘Exmor’ CMOS sensor, Dual AF system, and only weighing at in 733 gram for body only. From that, at least three titles are embedded to this camera: the Sony’s first Translucent Mirror camera with Full-Frame image sensor, the world’s first Full-Frame camera with Dual AF system, and the world’s lightest 35mm Full-Frame DSLR camera. Surely, those titles are not only for show, right?
Powered by a powerful advanced BIONZ image processing engine, the SLT-A99 serves 14-bit RAW output, up to 25600 ISO, uncompressed Full HD 1080 HDMI output, continuous AF in all mode, and up to 6fps full resolution image. Moreover, the well-arranged buttons, Quick Navi Pro interface, XGA OLED Tru-Finder and a 3-inch XtraFine tiltable LCD are there in providing quick, precise and easy shot for your every moment.
The release date and pricing
Indeed, Sony SLT-A99 Full-Frame DSLR camera is one of the best camera in its category. But, if you are not a camera addict, its $2800 price tag for body only could make you to think twice or more for buying this three titles camera. Do I need to tell you again about the release date?
