$100 Tablet for Kids! OLPC XO 3.0 Tablet

The strong commitment of helping kids around the world to recap good education is making One Laptop per Child (OLPC) showed a new move by unveiling a $100 tablet, XO 3.0, beside of its low-cost XO 1.75 laptop that will be released in March 2012.

Despite of it is for kids, this new tablet brings not weak components inside: a Marvell ARMADA PXA618 SOC processor, a 8-inch 1024 x 768 Pixel Qi touch screen LCD, 512 RAM, 4GB built-in storage, USB port, microUSB port, Avastar Wi-Fi SOC, and so on. It supports both Android and Sugar Linux OS. In short, this tablet is not like a kid tablet as Vtech tablet. Of course, the education content and games are the most chapters on this tablet.

The cheapest tablet? No, as you knew, the Ubislate 7+ is only having $58 price tag. However, this one is showing something more to kid to love it. It brings cute green rubber case. It’s not a common case. It minimizes the tablet shock during accidentally dropped and also contains a solar panel that giving the tablet 2 hours life for one hour of sun touch. More, it can work with vary voltage power source in range 10 to 25 volt such from hand cranks or waterwheel or bicycle.

OLPC XO 3.0 tablet is dancing now at CES 2012. It, according to company, will be released in this year in around $100.
