I never write about CEDIA expo before, so this is the first of my CEDIA post coming from Definitive Technology (DT). The company will line up its 3 new StudioMonitor bookshelf loudspeakers: SM45, SM55, and SM65 at CEDIA 2011.
The new bookshelf loudspeakers are set to replace its predecessor, StudioMonitor 350 and 450. Unlike the previous model, the three new loudspeakers are crafted without any cover on its dome twitter and drivers. So, you can see them directly. The elegance and luxurious of the dome twitter and driver are more leaked, right?. Better in appearance!
Regarding to its main specs, DT new StudioMonitor bookshelf loudspeakers features the latest generation patented Balanced Double Surround System (BDSS) bass/midrange drivers, and 1-inch Pure Aluminum Dome tweeter. Here is the BDSS drives on each models; Two 5-1/4-inch BDSS driver on SM65, one 5-1/4-inch BDSS driver on SM45, and one 6-1/2-inch BDSS driver on SM55. Better in performance!
All new models of DT Bookshelf loudspeakers are expected to bang US and Canadian market in Q4 2011 in MSRP $899 (SM65), $599 (SM55), and $399 (SM45). Please, say good bye to StudioMonitor 350 and 450. [Dandy Gadget Source]
