A waterproof smartphone is a common thing nowadays, so many out there. However, a smartphone which is perfectly protected while washing it using hot water or foaming hand soap is a rare thing – none until this one came out to the surface. Yep, Kyocera claimed their new smartphone, DIGNO rafre KYV36, is the world’s first hand-soap-washable smartphone.
This new smartphone is really unique. It’s not only washable using hot water or foaming hand soap, but handset also comes with really smart back case. According to the company, the back case is made by using their new coating technology. Through that technology, the back case has “self scratch healing” ability that can make any minor scratch gone by itself.
In addition, its touchscreen brings a high-strength Dragontail X glass. It ensures high resistant again scratch, being broken by accidental drop, and dust. More, the screen works fine even both of the screen and your hands are wet. Dandy, right?
Regarding to its specs, the DIGNO rafre KYV36 is powered by a 1.2 GHz MSM8916 quad-core processor, a 5.0-inch HD TFT LCD, 16GB built-in storage, 2GB RAM, 13-MP front camera, 2MP back camera, 3000mAh battery and Android 5.1 OS. Meanwhile for extended storage and fast connectivity, the handset has a microSD slot up to 128GB capacity, and supports 4G LTE and WiMax 2+.

Designed in 17 x 141 x 10.1 mm dimension and 155g weight with elegant color option, Kyocera DIGNO rafre KYV36 is available now in Japan via KDII network. Unluckily, there is no information yet whether it will be available worldwide.
