PFU ScanSnap iX2400 Makes High-Speed Scanning Simple

ScanSnap® iX2400

The new ScanSnap iX2400 arrives as PFU America, Inc. pushes its document-scanning lineup into a more accessible zone, giving small businesses, freelancers, and home offices a tool that feels premium without the usual complexity. Built as the successor to the iX1400 and borrowing performance DNA from the flagship iX2500, this compact scanner focuses on speed and simplicity while keeping the price within reach.

Designed for Everyday Workflows

PFU equips the iX2400 with its next-generation iiGA system-on-a-chip, enabling 45-ppm duplex scanning that normally belongs to higher-tier enterprise models. The ability to load up to 100 sheets at once makes it a practical pick for fast paper cleanup, whether you’re digitizing contracts, receipts, or long-ignored filing drawers.

Its one-button operation keeps scanning intentionally stress-free. A single USB connection powers the entire workflow, letting users drop the scanner onto any desk without the overhead of complicated setup. Even in mixed environments, it behaves predictably and reliably, which is honestly all most users want from a scanner.

Built-In Intelligence for Cleaner Results

Behind the simple interface, the iX2400 hides a thoughtful set of document-handling tricks. Features like ultrasonic multi-feed detection and automatic skew correction protect important papers while improving accuracy. The detachable Receipt Guide handles curled or irregular papers, making it a more versatile tool than it looks at first glance.

Image quality gets a lift from PFU’s Clear Image Capture technology. CIC reduces color shift and unwanted moire patterns, resulting in sharper scans for photos, graphics, and mixed-media documents. For many home and small-office users, this naturally cuts down on post-scan adjustments.

Flexible Software and Cloud Support

The real backbone of the iX2400 is ScanSnap Home, PFU’s dedicated organizer that bundles editing, classification, and instant access to leading cloud platforms. Integrations include Google Drive and Microsoft Teams, plus Box, OneNote, Notion, iCloud, and ScanSnap Cloud. This software is designed for people who don’t want a full DMS but still need something structured.

Starting December 9, 2025, ScanSnap Home will also support ARM-based Windows devices, giving users of newer lightweight laptops a smoother workflow without compatibility issues. With ARM hardware slowly inching into the mainstream, this is a forward-looking addition.

Sustainability Meets Modern Efficiency

PFU also folds sustainability into the hardware. The iX2400 uses 25% recycled plastic, and its packaging eliminates new fossil-resource plastics. Power consumption has been reduced by 23% compared to older models, dropping operation to just 13W. For offices trying to be more conscious about energy use, that’s a welcome refinement.

ScanSnap iX2400 is available now starting at $369.99, with a Deluxe Edition including Kofax Power PDF 4.0 for users who need deeper PDF editing. PFU America, Inc. closes this release with a familiar message: practical, fast, and accessible scanning shouldn’t be exclusive to enterprise buyers.
