I don’t know whether this docks are compatible with latest Apple iPhone (iPhone4). But D&S said it’s for Apple things, not include iPad of course. The differ between this one with others docks is it can transmit real signal from your iPhone or iPod via HDMI input to achieve real digital HD connection up to a maximum resolution of 720P, so you can enjoy your movie (other multimedia programs) in large screen of HDTV.
