LG Display reinforces its role as a leading force in next-generation automotive interfaces with two breakthrough innovations: Dual View OLED and UDC-IR OLED. Both technologies highlight the company’s commitment to smarter, more efficient, and more immersive in-vehicle display solutions. As automakers move toward richer cabin experiences, these products strengthen LG Display’s position at the forefront of advanced display engineering.

Dual View OLED Maximizes Cabin Space

The first innovation, Dual View OLED, introduces a new level of viewing flexibility inside modern vehicles. With its unique multi-angle display capability, a single panel can show different content depending on the viewer’s position. Drivers can access navigation with clarity while front passengers enjoy entertainment without visual interference. The optimized pixel structure ensures touch input on the driver’s section does not affect what the passenger sees.

Built on a durable Tandem OLED architecture, the panel maintains stability across harsh temperature conditions ranging from -40°C to 85°C. It can be positioned between rear passengers as well, enabling independent content playback and expanding cabin layout possibilities for automakers.

UDC-IR OLED Delivers Invisible Driver Monitoring

The second product, UDC-IR OLED, integrates an in-screen driver-monitoring camera that remains completely hidden from view. By boosting transmittance in the camera area and applying advanced rendering algorithms, LG Display ensures the camera opening is imperceptible while preserving full-screen aesthetics.

Co-developed with LG Innotek, the solution unites a high-resolution IR camera with image-enhancement software to support accurate driver monitoring. As global regulations shift toward mandatory driver-monitoring systems, this invisible integration is positioned as a key technology for future automotive interiors.

Future-Ready Design for Smart Interiors

Both innovations reflect LG Display’s strategic push toward safer, more personalized, and more visually seamless automotive experiences. By combining advanced optics with efficient space usage, the company provides automakers with versatile components suited for next-generation cabin designs. With multiple CES Innovation Awards in previous years, LG Display continues to define the direction of future automotive displays.

Showcasing at CES 2026

At CES 2026, LG Display will present these technologies at its dedicated booth in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Additional large-format OLED developments will be shown at a private customer suite at the Conrad Hotel. Details regarding availability and commercial deployment will follow as partnerships progress.
