Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 Interchangeable Lens Camera: Lighter, Smaller, Better Design!

Do you realize a deep point when we are talking about the Lumix GF series? Yeah, you’re right: the world’s thinnest and lightest. In its new Lumix DMC-GF3, Panasonic also brings that campaign again. Fashioned in 107.7(W)x67.1(H)x32.5(D) mm and only 222g(body only), the new camera is having 16.7% smaller and 16.2% lighter than its predecessor, GF2.

It’s not like other previous version(GF1 and GF2) which are packed in box-like, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 has a stylish design (if you don’t agree with me, feel free to place your comments) with five colors available: pink, red, black, white, and brown. Unfortunately, at US market the pink color is not available. Meanwhile at UK market, the gadget is only available in three colors: black, red,and white.

Regarding to its specs, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 is mostly same like what Lumix DMC-GF2 has. It features a 12.1MP Live MOS sensor, Micro Four Thirds mount, a 3.0-inch 460k dots wide-viewing angle TFT LCD with touch panel, USB 2.0, HDMI, and a built-in flash. Powered by Venus Engine FHD, the gadget enables to record full HD video 1080p in the AVCHD format. However, its battery is more stronger, it enable to shoot 20 more images than GF2.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 camera is expected to hit US market in July 2011 in $699.99 with the 14mm lens kit system and $599.99 with 14-42mm lens kit system (August 2011). I love pink color! [Dandy Gadget Source]
